Has portrayed two of the Philippines' most famous hero - Andres Bonifacio and Jose Rizal. He played the revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio in Jose Rizal (1998), a biography film about the Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal. The next year, he played Jose Rizal in Sisa (1999), based on the novel Noli Me Tangere written by Jose Rizal.
